Senior AI Engineer
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka.

About the Role
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge Generative AI research and robust, production-grade infrastructure execution. You will architect autonomous, multi-agent workflows and intelligent systems that solve complex financial challenges. This role demands a proactive technical leader with an execution-first mindset, capable of designing scalable AI solutions, establishing LLM best practices, and clearly articulating complex AI paradigms to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Agentic Systems & Architecture: Design, develop, and deploy production-grade multi-agent architectures and stateful AI workflows using advanced frameworks like LangGraph and AgentCore.
- AI Solutioning & Execution: Translate complex business requirements into practical AI strategies, selecting and fine-tuning the right combination of foundational models, retrieval mechanisms, and prompt strategies.
- Enterprise Cloud Integration: Architect and manage scalable, robust AI pipelines on AWS, leveraging AWS Bedrock for model hosting and secure agent deployments.
- MLOps & Production Governance: Establish robust MLOps practices and continuous monitoring to ensure system reliability and mitigate hallucinations.
- Technical Leadership & Communication: Guide and mentor software engineers transitioning into the AI space, champion code quality and testing for probabilistic systems, and directly collaborate with clients to scope and demonstrate AI capabilities.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a highly execution-focused engineer who pairs deep technical mastery of the modern AI stack with strong leadership capabilities. You should be comfortable with the fast-evolving nature of Generative AI, transforming theoretical concepts into deterministic, reliable software.
Experience & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
Experience: 2-3 years of software engineering experience, with 1+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience building and deploying Generative AI and agentic systems in production.
Technical Skillset
- Core AI & Agentic Frameworks: Advanced proficiency in Python with hands-on experience building complex cognitive architectures using LangGraph, AgentCore, and other stateful orchestrators.
- Cloud & Enterprise AI Platforms: Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, with specific expertise in AWS Bedrock (including Bedrock Agents, Knowledge Bases, and Guards).
- MLOps & Observability: Proven track record setting up LLM evaluation frameworks and observability tools (e.g., LangSmith, Datadog) to monitor latency, cost, and accuracy.
- Data & Vector Databases: Strong experience with vector data stores and retrieval systems (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, AWS OpenSearch Service).
- Backend & API Design: Experience exposing AI capabilities via secure, high-performance microservices and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC).
