LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

LANWA Sanstha Cement Corporation (Private) Limited is a BOI venture and a fully owned subsidiary company of Ceylon Steel Corporation Limited. Our State-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located at Export Processing Zone, Mirijjawila, Hambantota. The company is looking for team spirited, result oriented individuals with passion and dynamism for the following vacancy.

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our QAQC team. The selected candidate will support product development, laboratory testing, trial activities, and quality improvement projects related to cement-based Innovative products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing for raw materials and finished products
n
• Assist in product development trials and formulation improvements
n
• Prepare test samples and maintain accurate laboratory records
n
• Operate laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance
n
• Monitor product performance and report test results
n
• Support R&D activities related to skim coat, tile adhesive, waterproofing, Construction grout, and other innovative products
n
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company procedures
n

Requirements

n
• NVQ / Diploma in Civil Engineering, or related field
n
• Previous experiences of laboratory & similar field (Coating industry) will be an added advantage
n
• Knowledge of cement-based products and testing methods is preferred
n
• Good computer literacy and documentation skills
n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
• Age below 35 years preferred
n
