The Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Building Maintenance & Construction Engineer to join our team in Pannala. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing building maintenance activities, managing construction and renovation projects, and ensuring the safety, functionality, and sustainability of all company facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise building maintenance activities across company facilities.
- Manage construction, renovation, refurbishment, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure projects are completed according to quality, safety, and timeline requirements.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, occupational health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Prepare project progress reports, maintenance schedules, and budget forecasts.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify opportunities for facility improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance practices, construction methodologies, and project management principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and related engineering software will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
