Junior Executive - Purchasing

Role Brief

To manage purchasing and supply processes to ensure timely availability of goods and services, optimize inventory levels, drive cost efficiency, and collaborate with internal teams to meet organizational requirements while maintaining quality and competitiveness.

Competencies

  • Diploma or Certificate course specialized in Supply Chain / Purchasing Management or an equivalent Professional Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 01 year’s experience in a similar capacity and exposure to SAP environment
  • Knowledge of vendor sourcing, negotiation, and a high level of analytical skills with the ability to make decisions effectively and efficiently
  • Computer literacy with hands-on experience in MS Office
  • Passionate about analytics and problem solving with strong drive and dedication
  • Energetic individual of with excellent communication skills and proficiency in English Language

Scope & Responsibilities

  • Assist the supply chain to ensure an uninterrupted flow of all types of supplies and services, and support the supply plan while optimizing inventory levels and ensuring satisfaction of the internal customers
  • Establish an effective supply network and assist management in developing strategies to deliver sustainable competitive advantage
  • Procure goods & services competitively while adhering to the 8–Rs concept and order processing
  • Negotiate with vendors, whilst maintaining professional relationships
  • Conduct price analysis, evaluation, cost saving, and negotiation with vendors
  • Work closely with all the divisions to ensure required purchases are in line with the divisional requirement
