Harrisons Shipping (Private) Limited is a leading logistic and Freight Forwarding Company providing end-to-end solution in Import, Exports and Clearing and Forwarding. To support our expanding operations, we are looking for a dedicated and proactive Wharf Executive to join our dynamic team.

JOB PROFILE

Responsible for coordinating and managing import and export operations, ensuring the timely clearance and movement of cargo while complying with all Customs and regulatory requirements. The role involves liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, Customs, BOI, and other regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage wharf operations covering import and export operations.
  • Oversee end to end imports clearance process, Customs clearance, and documentation.
  • Liaise with Customs, lines, freight forwarders, and other regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory authorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • GCE Advanced Level (A/L)
  • Customs House Agent (CHA) certificate
  • Current CHA License
  • A degree in Logistics or a related field from a recognized university will be an added advantage

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Wharf Executive handling import and export operations
  • Thorough knowledge of Customs, BOI and other regulatory bodies (SLSI, Food Control, AEI, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Import & Export Control and Exchange Control regulations
  • Well-versed in Harmonized System (HS) Code classification
  • Experience working with the ASYCUDA system
  • Sound written and spoken English communication skills
  • Good IT and digital literacy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends when required
  • Below 35 years
