SLIIT Kandy UNI, a leading higher education institution and extension of SLIIT, is dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and student success. Located adjacent to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, the campus offers modern learning facilities, student accommodation, library resources, wellness services, and recreational amenities.
We are seeking highly experienced and results-oriented Sports Coaches to lead and develop campus sports programmes, mentor student-athletes, and promote excellence in sports performance while fostering teamwork, discipline, and overall student development.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct training sessions for university sports teams.
- Develop players’ technical, tactical, and physical abilities.
- Prepare teams for inter-university and other competitive tournaments.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership among student-athletes.
- Monitor player performance and provide individual coaching and guidance.
- Coordinate with the Sports Department regarding training schedules, competitions, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and safety standards.
- Promote student participation and contribute to the development of university sports programs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma, Degree, or recognized professional qualification in Sports Science, Physical Education, Coaching, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Coaching certification or accreditation from the relevant national governing body is preferred.
- Proven experience in coaching the respective sport at school, club, university, or national level.
- Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Previous experience in preparing teams for competitive tournaments will be an added advantage.
- Retired national players or individuals with outstanding achievements in the respective sport are encouraged to apply.
