ASSISTANT ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL
As an Assistant Engineer – Electrical, you will support the technical, operational, and strategic functions of hydro and solar projects, ensuring efficient power generation, grid compliance, and contributing to performance improvement initiatives across the company’s hydro and solar power plants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the execution of electrical engineering activities for hydro and solar projects from development to commissioning.
- Conduct technical analysis, feasibility assessments, and plant performance evaluations.
- Monitor plant operations and recommend corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
- Ensure compliance with national grid codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare technical reports, operational analyses, and documentation to support management decisions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory authorities under supervision.
- Support procurement activities, including technical specifications preparation and bid evaluations.
- Assist during installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate technical records and ensure proper documentation control.
- Support the design, review, and optimization of generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- Full NDT, HNDE, or NDES (or equivalent qualification) from a recognised institution.
- 1–2 years of experience in a power generation plant (preferably hydro, solar, or renewable energy) would be an added advantage.
