Come join our team as an Assistant Manager – EV Charging & Infrastructure

What you need to do
- Evaluate electrical power requirements and load capacities for all upcoming JKCG locations, including new showrooms, and workshop setups.
- Develop technical specifications for facility wiring, main switchboard configurations, backup power systems, and specialized workshop equipment power lines.
- Manage specialized electrical contractors and suppliers from initial bidding through to installation, testing, and final facility commissioning.
- Coordinate site surveys and field infrastructure executions for expanding the country's public DC fast-charging footprint at grid-friendly locations.
- Supervise civil and electrical grid integration work on-site, ensuring contractor deliverables match approved single-line diagrams (SLDs) and project timelines.
- Evaluate new and emerging public high-voltage charging hardware for technical compatibility with local grid constraints.
- Oversee the end-to-end customer journey for residential AC chargers, ensuring timely, aesthetically clean, and safe installations for BYD buyers.
- Resolve complex technical complaints regarding home charging units, deploying rapid troubleshooting or dispatching vendors to maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
- Liaise directly with state utility bodies (CEB, LECO) and municipal councils to secure bulk supply approvals, transformer upgrades, and wiring compliance certificates.
- Ensure all new facility electrical layouts and public charging points adhere strictly to national safety codes, IEEE standards, and JKH Group safety regulations.
- Prepare BOQs for electrical installations, including distribution boards and related electrical infrastructure.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or steps toward Chartered Engineer status is a major advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of operational experience in industrial electrical projects, commercial facility infrastructure setups, or high-voltage installations.
- Proven track record of evaluating facility power loads and coordinating with local electrical utility providers (CEB/LECO) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of EV charging technologies, including AC and DC chargers.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills.
