BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to lead the company’s growth strategy across all sectors. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, develop business proposals, and drive revenue growth through local and international engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies, annual plans, and growth targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple sectors and markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, development partners, government agencies, investors, and private sector stakeholders.
- Lead market research, competitor analysis, and opportunity assessments.
- Support the Senior Management in maintaining a database of pipeline projects, submissions, responses.
- Support proposal development, business presentations, EOIs, and tender submissions.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade events, networking forums, and stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare business presentations, reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Lead digital marketing campaigns, website, marketing content, and social media presence.
- Drive corporate branding, client engagement, and business expansion initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Economics, Project Management, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, consulting, or corporate management.
- Strong communication, presentation, and ability to work across multiple sectors; donor-funded projects or development consulting experience will be an added advantage; networking, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital business tools.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
