QC Manager (Sewing & Apparel) – Join Our Team!
We are a leading garment manufacturer dedicated to delivering world-class apparel to international markets. We are seeking a highly skilled, data-driven, and analytical QC Manager to lead our Quality Assurance and Sewing Floor inspection teams.
The ideal candidate will establish strict Quality Management Systems (QMS), drive continuous improvement, and ensure our sewing lines consistently exceed international buyer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- System Management: Implement, maintain, and upgrade an effective Quality Management System (QMS) across all production and sewing lines.
- Defect Reduction: Monitor, track, and aggressively reduce Defects per Hundred Units (DPU) utilizing modern inline quality tracking tools and data analytics.
- Pre-Production Planning: Review tech packs, analyze fit/size sets, and lead pre-production risk assessment meetings to identify potential manufacturing hurdles.
- Buyer Compliance: Maintain strict Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) to secure buyer confidence, pass international audits, and satisfy brand codes of conduct.
- Team Leadership: Train, evaluate, and mentor a dedicated team of line QC inspectors, supervisors, and quality executives to build a culture of zero defects.
Requirements & Skills
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Textile Engineering, Clothing Technology, or a related industrial discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in QA/QC management, specifically within a high-capacity garment sewing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong mastery of technical garment patterns, seam construction, and identifying/rectifying sewing defects (e.g., skip-stitches, puckering, wavy seams, uneven hems).
- Compliance Savvy: Deep understanding of buyer safety guidelines, sharp tool/needle controls, chemical restrictions, and major international compliance audits (e.g., ISO, WRAP, SMETA, BSCI).
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and modern digital quality monitoring dashboards for generating daily/weekly KPI reports.
- Soft Skills: Confident communication style, excellent leadership abilities, and an independent, data-driven approach to problem-solving.
