Customer Service Executive – Freight Forwarding and Logistics Sector

GRIT GLOBAL Middle East is a dynamic and expanding freight forwarding company headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a dedicated back-office support team based in Sri Lanka.

We are urgently seeking experienced, energetic, and motivated candidates with 1-2 years of working experience in the Freight Forwarding or Courier industry to join our team.

Role Overview:

The Customer Service Executive will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and overseas partners, managing complaints, offering timely solutions, and ensuring smooth coordination throughout the logistics process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively update customers and overseas agents on shipment status
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries
  • Resolve operational issues efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Maintain regular coordination through email and phone with customers and overseas partners
  • Handle overseas coordination for nomination shipments
  • Track shipments and address any issues or delays
  • Provide courteous and professional customer support via phone and email
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and requests promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with internal departments to enhance processes and improve customer satisfaction
  • Keep updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and customer service
  • Prepare and send pre-alerts to customers

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding or Courier Industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal in English)
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good computer literacy and email etiquette

Work Details:

Office Location: Robert Gunawarden Mawatha, Battaramulla

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Holidays: As per the UAE Private Sector holiday calendar
