Quality Assurance Executive

Scope of the Role

The Quality Assurance Executive will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations, quality control, commercial sample analysis and analytical testing activities to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality sample analysis, supporting AFR (Alternative Fuel & Raw Materials) processes, and ensuring adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 and other quality management systems. The position requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support incoming material inspection, sample collection, and laboratory analysis activities including commercial sample analysis.
  • Perform in-process and incoming material quality control to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure availability for testing.
  • Follow standard test methods (ASTM, ISO, SLS, USEPA, APHA) and ensure accurate analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory systems in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
  • Conduct risk and quality assessments for AFR materials.
  • Ensure timely analysis and reporting to support smooth plant operations.
  • Manage and maintain sample records and SAP data for incoming materials.
  • Assist in laboratory audits, method validation, and verification activities.
  • Support R&D trials and projects related to quality and process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and OH&S requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Chemistry as a main subject) with minimum 3 years’ experience in quality assurance and laboratory operations.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, quality assurance practices, and standard laboratory procedures.
  • Practical experience in chemical analysis and testing using recognized methods such as SLS, ISO, ASTM, AOAC, and APHA standards.
  • Hands-on exposure to laboratory equipment such as ICP-OES/MS and spectrophotometers will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in wastewater, drinking water, and fertilizer analysis will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of chemical handling, safety practices, and laboratory best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications with ability to manage and analyze data effectively.
