ACCOUNTANT

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented professional in the field of accounting and bookkeeping? We are looking for a senior team member with experience in Australian Accounting Standards and Bookkeeping.

Sentient is a boutique accounting and tax firm with operations in Australia and Sri Lanka.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable and processing payroll
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and other financial records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and address queries.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or professional qualifications such as CPA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Minimum 02 Years of Australian Tax & Bookkeeping Experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks / MYOB and Xero
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Effective communication in English and interpersonal skills
