RESIDENT MANAGER Southern Sri Lanka

We are currently seeking an exceptional Resident Manager to lead operations at one of our exclusive boutique properties located in the Southern coast of Sri Lanka.
THE ROLE
As Resident Manager, you will be the driving force of the property — a visible, hands-on leader responsible for ensuring operational excellence while embodying the Nyne Hotels service culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the property to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Leading and supervising front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance teams
- Delivering consistently high standards of guest service from arrival to departure
- Training, mentoring, and motivating staff to achieve performance excellence
- Managing operational budgets, procurement, and inventory control with financial discipline
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Building strong guest relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business
- Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation and service across all departments
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a confident and refined hospitality professional who leads by example and thrives in a boutique luxury environment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in a senior operational or management role within boutique or luxury hospitality
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations with the ability to manage multi-functional teams
- A natural ability to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction with warmth and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala (additional languages will be an advantage)
- Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the flexibility to work extended hours when required
