Management Accountant
Cable Solutions PLC is a Sri Lanka based specialist manufacturer of the Kablr brand of cables, wires, and harness for virtually all segments in the international electronics market. It specializes in designing performance cables for specific applications, including extreme temperatures, confined spaces, chemicals, oil, abrasion, harsh environmental resistance, high performance flex/torsion and more.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled management accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial accuracy and contributing to improved departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the product costing system for all manufacturing operations.
- Prepare and analyze standard costs, cost variances, and inventory valuations.
- Conduct material, labour, and overhead cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor manufacturing KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve profitability.
- Partner with Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure accuracy in BOMs, production costing, and ERP data.
- Support internal and external audits relating to inventory and manufacturing costs. These responsibilities reflect common expectations for manufacturing cost accounting roles.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Fully or Part Qualified in CIMA, CMA, CA Sri Lanka, or ACCA.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Management Accounting or Cost Accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Standard Costing, Variance Analysis, Inventory Management, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
