Account Executive/Account Assistant (Location - Colombo 10)

This standard aims to revolutionize plastic recycling by enabling the production of high-quality recycled materials suitable for reuse in FMCG packaging. By incentivizing the recovery and processing of plastic waste, ICI's initiative seeks to reduce reliance on imported virgin plastic, protect the environment, and foster a circular economy model within the country.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive/Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, hands-on experience with accounting software, and the ability to manage both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts receivable: Prepare invoices, track payments, follow up with clients, and reconcile customer accounts.
- Accounts payable: Process supplier invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Financial reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Reconciliations: Perform bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
- Software proficiency: Work with accounting packages to record, track, and analyze financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience with accounting packages (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
