VACANCY
QC/QA SENIOR SUPERVISOR
Ahmad Tea Limited, an internationally reputed tea trading organization based in London, UK has its Liaison Office in Colombo.
We are looking for an ideal person to join our Quality Control Team and function as a QC/QA Senior Supervisor
The said candidate should be within 25 — 35 years with a very good command of English and be computer literate as well as work as a team, whilst meeting deadlines and should be prepared to travel to the Emirates for training purposes
Job Specification
The selected candidate will be located in Colombo and will have to adhere to the objective of the Quality Department that exists as an audit function within the manufacturing and packaging area and focuses on fulfilling requirements and providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled
Scope
- Quality inspection, evaluation and monitoring
- Compliance and system audits support and preparation
- Audit on Housekeeping, GMP and 5S
- Documentation and Record Keeping program support
- Analysis and testing at specified frequency
- Coordination for New Product Development
Purpose
- Quality & Compliance: Implement rigorous inspections and maintain strict adherence to HACCP and ISO standards.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize quality tools to reduce waste, minimize downtime, and support lean, cost-effective production processes.
- Safety & Environment: Ensure the workplace complies with Occupational Health and Safety, environmental regulations, and GMP practices.
- Team Leadership: Motivate staff and build a proactive culture of quality workmanship across the shop floor.
Essentials
- Graduate of BS Chemistry and/or Food Science equivalent courses issued by the recognized institution. A Licensed, post graduate or master’s degree is an advantage
- 5-10 years' experience in a similar FMCG production environment
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Should have knowledge in Quality Control of Production Processing Management
- Team-working skills to work cooperatively with people at all levels
- Experience with knowledge of full cycle of production and understands and develops the area for optimization of resources usage in terms of quality control.
- Demonstrates initiative and has an ability to work under pressure
- With confidence to respond positively when under pressure
- Ability to focus on key objectives and work within specific time frames.
- Highly organized and action oriented & Strong attention to details, and excellent planning and coordination skills
- Team-player, Positive/Optimistic personality and professional attitude; Patient/high tolerance level
- Strong commitment: must be able to work under tight deadlines.
- Perform task as assigned by the Management in addition to the Quality functions.
