Welder Fitter
Location :- Factory (Ekala)
Job Profile
To ensure the continuous and efficient operation of plant machinery by carrying out preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, inspections, and mechanical fitting activities while maintaining a safe working environment and minimizing equipment downtime.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Attend machine breakdowns promptly and carry out corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
- Execute running repairs and maintenance activities while ensuring safe plant operation.
- Complete and update daily maintenance checklists, inspection records, and maintenance reports.
- Identify potential mechanical issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Carry out fitting, alignment, assembly, and replacement of mechanical components as required.
- Support shutdown maintenance and equipment overhauls when necessary.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures, permit systems, and industrial safety standards.
- Work closely with production personnel to maintain smooth and uninterrupted plant operations.
Job Requirements
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Millwright, Welding, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial experience as a Fitter, Welder/Fitter, Millwright, or in a similar maintenance role.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial plant machinery is preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices and fitting techniques.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment faults.
- Basic welding, fabrication, and machining knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Strong commitment to industrial safety and safe work practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to breakdown situations.
