MANAGER FINANCE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Finance, to join Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end financial accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to applicable accounting standards and internal policies
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process, including preparation and review of financial statements
  • Manage group level accounts consolidation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across multiple entities
  • Drive the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business performance
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements
  • Strengthen internal controls and continuously improving financial processes and reporting systems
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance and cost optimization initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build high performance and capability

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA) is required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance, with exposure to financial accounting, FP&A, and consolidation
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or group structure is highly advantageous
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
