HEAD OF RISK & CONTROL AND INTERNAL AUDIT
Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC is a well-known Sri Lankan company specializing in producing & marketing high-quality porcelain tableware worldwide. Our skilled artisans create a diverse range of porcelain products, such as dinner sets, tea sets, mugs, vases, and decorative items.
We invite a professional in risk & control and internal audit to join Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC as the Head of Risk & Control and Internal Audit.
The Role
The Head of Risk & Control and Internal Audit will play a pivotal role in driving risk, internal audit and compliance initiatives across the business. This involves supporting the sustainability of the porcelain cluster consisting of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC and Royal Fernwood Porcelain Limited, while promoting and protecting the reputation, assets and effectiveness of the business through the outstanding delivery of internal audit, risk & control services and advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering the cluster internal audit framework, ensuring effective procedures & policies are in place, reviewed and are adhered to through regular monitoring.
- Overseeing the planning and execution of various types of audits, including financial, operational, and compliance audits, ensuring audit work is performed in accordance with professional standards and reporting to the Board and the Audit Committee.
- Leading the daily management of the risk and control function including maintaining risk registers and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance with external regulation, market practices and industry codes.
- Resolving compliance & risk issues as they arise and maintaining a centralized incident register.
- Ensuring a robust compliance culture in all areas of the business.
- Providing exceptional service to the business in the provision of advice on risk and compliance including support to the Management on new business initiatives and growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Risk Management/ Finance/ Management/ Business Studies/ Law.
- Professional membership in CA / CIMA / ACCA or related professional qualification in Internal Audit and/or Risk and Compliance.
- Over 15 years of experience in internal auditing with an exposure to manufacturing, distribution and retail operations is essential.
- Familiarity with CAMMS Internal Control Framework would be an advantage.
- High ethical and moral standards.
