Job Overview

LankaStaff is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Education & Childcare Program Coordinator to lead and manage community-based education and childcare initiatives while coordinating with international volunteers.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate individual with a passion for education, child development, and community engagement. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the teaching and childcare programs, ensure high-quality program delivery, and create a positive experience for both children and international volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Education and Childcare Programs.
  • Coordinate teaching and childcare activities with international volunteers.
  • Develop lesson plans and educational activities appropriate for different age groups.
  • Plan and organize daily schedules, learning activities, and volunteer assignments.
  • Maintain accurate program records, reports, attendance, and documentation.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for children.
  • Provide orientation, guidance, and ongoing support to international volunteers.
  • Foster positive relationships with volunteers, local communities, and other stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Social Work, Community Development, or another relevant field.
  • Previous experience in teaching, childcare, education management, or program coordination will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate multicultural teams and work effectively with international volunteers.
  • Passion for child development, education, and community service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic administrative tasks.
