Manager Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and purpose-driven professional to be part of our Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing integrated internal and external communication strategies, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and advancing the organization's sustainability agenda across key focus areas.

The role requires a strong communicator, strategic storyteller, and collaborative leader who can build trusted partnerships, influence diverse stakeholders, and successfully manage cross-functional initiatives while ensuring alignment with corporate priorities, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement activities to enhance the company’s corporate reputation and sustainability profile.
  • Plan and implement sustainability programmes and events across key focus areas, ensuring timely execution and the maintenance of all required documentation for regulatory and corporate compliance.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with government authorities, PR agencies, NGOs, community partners, and other stakeholders to support business and sustainability objectives.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the Coca-Cola Foundation (TCCF) projects and other strategic sustainability partnerships, ensuring effective governance, reporting, audits, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications, Sustainability, Stakeholder Engagement, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil, with the ability to develop compelling content and impactful narratives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Good organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
