DESIGNATION: ASSOCIATE SYSTEM ENGINEER

COMPANY NAME: CEYLON BISCUITS LIMITED

LOCATION: PANNIPITIYA

ROLE PROFILE

  • Assist in setting up and configuring infrastructure components for both cloud and on-premises systems under supervision.
  • Monitor system performance and report incidents; provide first-level troubleshooting for infrastructure, database, and security issues.
  • Support secure system operations by following security policies related to user access, passwords, and data protection.
  • Run and maintain simple system scripts for tasks like user updates and backups.
  • Update documentation such as checklists, configuration notes, and user guides.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve basic technical support needs.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tech support or system operations, including cloud basics.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or OCI).
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking basics, Windows/Linux systems, and introductory scripting.
  • Good communication and documentation skills with a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to work well within a team environment.
