SENIOR MERCHANDISER / MERCHANDISER (HEAD OFFICE, WATTALA)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with buyers for product development, costing, and approvals.
• Oversee sample development and ensure timely submission to buyers.
• Manage the entire order process from placement to shipment.
• Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery as per buyer timelines.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers, buyers, and production teams.
• Prepare cost sheets and negotiate pricing with suppliers and buyers.
• Track material consumption and cost efficiency.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and buyer specifications.
• Coordinate with the quality team for inline and final inspections.
• Anticipate production or material delays and proactively address issues.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Apparel Technology, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or relevant field.
• 2 to 5 years (Merchandiser) / 5+ years (Senior Merchandiser) experience in apparel manufacturing industry.
• Sound knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and production processes.
• Strong communication, negotiation and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of ERP or merchandising software systems is an advantage.
