WORKSHOP MANAGER
We are a leading supplier of industrial pumps, serving numerous benchmark high-rise building projects and municipal water supply applications. Our fully equipped workshop, located close to Gampaha City, supports fabrication, machining, and repair activities.
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Workshop Manager to lead, develop, and expand our workshop operations and engineering business activities.
We particularly welcome applications from highly experienced engineering professionals, including retired or semi-retired individuals who are still active, energetic, and capable of handling a senior leadership role in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily workshop operations including fabrication, machining, welding, plumbing, drilling, and repair works.
- Drive business development activities by sourcing and securing fabrication, machining, and engineering projects.
- Develop new business opportunities in industrial fabrication, heavy equipment repair, and related engineering services.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication and machining projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage fabrication and machining works for industrial equipment and heavy earth-moving machinery.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and workshop resources.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity across all operations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Extensive experience in workshop management, fabrication, machining, or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, machining, CNC machining, laser cutting, and press brake operations.
- Proven ability to generate business and develop long-term client relationships.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on management approach with strong technical understanding.
- Residents close to Gampaha City are preferred.
