Ceylon Shipping Lines a leading Shipping company with an international network of Agents engaged in diversified industrial and commercial operations in Sri Lanka seeking for a self-motivated and energetic individual for the following position:
Property / Facilities & Maintenance Officer
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Property/Facilities and Maintenance Officer – Executive Grade to manage our physical workspace. The ideal candidate ensures our facilities are safe, functional, equipped and maintained to support daily business operations at all locations. You will act as the primary point of contact for building, vehicle and machinery maintenance issues, vendor negotiations, and health & safety compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Attending Facility Operations & Maintenance of Property, Equipment, Machinery and Vehicles.
- Vendor Management – Source, negotiate and manage external service providers.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Adhering to local & Gov. Health & safety protocols.
- Space Planning & Optimization – Reconfigurations, relocations workspace utilization.
- Assist in preparing annual Financial & Budget Management for maintenance and track expenses, process utility / maintenance invoices.
- Lease & Property Administration – reviewing, maintaining lease agreements, handling tenant inquiries
Educational and professional qualifications
- Diploma / Professional Qualification (NVQ Level 03 or above)
- 3+ years of progressive experience in facilities, property management, or corporate real estate operations.
- Knowledge in building and vehicle maintenance, familiarity with local building codes, fire regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Computer systems
