ACCOUNTANT & PROCUREMENT MANAGER
We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accountant & Procurement Manager. This role is best suited for a mature professional, preferably a retired or semi-retired individual, who brings strong industry knowledge and practical hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting functions including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee procurement activities including supplier sourcing, negotiations, and purchase planning
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong internal financial controls
- Monitor costs and support budgeting and financial planning processes
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations
- Prepare periodic management reports for decision-making purposes
Requirements
- Applicants must possess prior experience in a similar capacity, preferably within flower shops or comparable retail establishments
- Proven experience handling both accounting and procurement management functions
- Strong understanding of financial practices, reporting standards, and internal controls
- Experience in supplier management, inventory coordination, and cost control
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
