ACCOUNTANT & PROCUREMENT MANAGER

We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accountant & Procurement Manager. This role is best suited for a mature professional, preferably a retired or semi-retired individual, who brings strong industry knowledge and practical hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting functions including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Oversee procurement activities including supplier sourcing, negotiations, and purchase planning
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong internal financial controls
  • Monitor costs and support budgeting and financial planning processes
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations
  • Prepare periodic management reports for decision-making purposes

Requirements

  • Applicants must possess prior experience in a similar capacity, preferably within flower shops or comparable retail establishments
  • Proven experience handling both accounting and procurement management functions
  • Strong understanding of financial practices, reporting standards, and internal controls
  • Experience in supplier management, inventory coordination, and cost control
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
