ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Quality Assurance Executive to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and compliance across our operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations and be willing to travel regularly to company outlets, customer locations, and operational facilities to conduct inspections, audits, and quality assessments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct routine quality inspections of food products, warehouses, and operational processes to verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Visit outlets and customer locations to verify FIFO (First In, First Out) implementation and stock rotation.
- Monitor food storage conditions, hygiene standards, and product handling procedures.
- Check expiry dates, batch control, stock rotation, and product quality.
- Prepare and submit detailed quality inspection reports and recommendations to management.
- Investigate quality-related complaints and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Coordinate with warehouse, Sales, procurement, and operations teams to support quality management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and FIFO practices.
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, food service, or quality control will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
- Possess a valid driving license and ability to travel extensively to company outlets and customer locations.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high professional standards.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and uphold quality standards.
