Vacancy: Payroll Admin Executive - Jaffna branch
We are a UK-based and rapidly expanding firm of Accountants, based in Greater London. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking to recruit a Payroll Admin Executive to join our Jaffna branch back-office team, supporting our UK clients.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in payroll processing within a UK Accountancy Practice, handling end-to-end payroll operations and ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
- Managing CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) claims.
- Handling Auto Enrolment pension contributions, including employee eligibility assessments.
- Preparing and uploading pension files to a range of pension providers.
- Producing payroll-related reports, including summaries, journals, and reconciliations.
- Issuing employee documents such as payslips, P45s, and P60s.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including Tax, National Insurance, Real-Time Information (RTI), and Auto Enrolment pensions.
- Performing manual gross-to-net calculations and statutory entitlement calculations when required to resolve queries.
- Responding to payroll-related enquiries from clients, their employees, and HMRC promptly and professionally.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Recent experience in a similar payroll position within a UK-based accountancy practice or payroll bureau (back-office operations).
- Strong understanding of UK payroll processes and legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills for dealing with UK clients and HMRC.
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office (Excel in particular).

Working Hours
Full-Time: Monday to Friday
1:00 pm to 10:00 pm — Sri Lanka Time
(Work from home after 7:00 pm)
Part-time and weekend opportunities are also available.
