We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated and dynamic individual to strengthen accountability, learning, and visibility across our programs.
1. Officer – Monitoring, Evaluation and Media
Job Summary: Responsible for strengthening project accountability, learning, visibility, and evidence generation across all CDF programs. The role supports the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, data collection and analysis, quality assurance, reporting, documentation of results, and communication of project achievements through various media platforms. Position will be based in the CDF Office in Trincomalee and reasonable travel to the field within the district and out of the district.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Information Management, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional training in Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Management, Communications, Digital Media, or Project Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, program reporting, research, communications, or media management.
- Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, donor-funded projects, or development organizations, including conducting surveys, assessments, and data analysis.
- Experience with data collection and analysis tools such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, Google Forms, Excel, Power BI, or SPSS.
- Experience managing social media platforms and producing communication materials; photography, videography, and graphic design skills are an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in Tamil is essential; good command of English, including report writing; knowledge of Sinhala is an added advantage.
Job Role
- Support the development and implementation of project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) frameworks and tracking tools.
- Coordinate baseline studies, assessments, surveys, monitoring visits, reviews, and evaluations; collect, verify, and analyze project data.
- Ensure timely and accurate tracking of project indicators, outputs, outcomes, and targets, and conduct routine data quality assessments.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, annual, and donor reports using project data and field evidence; maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits to assess implementation quality, progress, and compliance, and support quality assurance processes.
- Develop and implement project visibility and communication plans; capture photographs, videos, and human-interest stories from project locations.
- Produce communication materials including newsletters, brochures, factsheets, and social media content; manage organizational social media platforms.
- Ensure donor branding and visibility requirements are consistently applied, and coordinate media coverage of project events and activities.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, success stories, and case studies to support program learning and knowledge management.
- Ensure all monitoring, data collection, photography, and communication activities comply with safeguarding, privacy, and ethical standards, including informed consent.
