DIRECTOR OF REVENUE AND RESERVATIONS
Nestled in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Baa Atoll, Vakkaru Maldives is an award-winning luxury resort known for its timeless beauty, unparalleled service, and exclusive experiences. As we expand our operations and elevate our offerings, we are seeking an experienced Director of Revenue and Reservations to join our executive team and drive our commercial strategy forward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the effective operation of the Revenue and Reservations department in meeting the resort's business goals.
- Train and lead the Reservations team to ensure accuracy in guest bookings, maximizing revenue opportunities and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain full awareness of the resort's selling strategy, rates, packages, and booking status at all times.
- Manage room inventory, including allotments, blocks, and rate codes across all relevant systems.
- Drive maximum revenue from preferred rate and package products through effective selling strategy.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and long-term room revenue forecasts by market segment, and lead fortnightly revenue meetings.
- Partner with the E-Commerce Manager to optimize distribution across Sabre CRS, GDS, vakkarumaldives.com, and tour operator channels.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date booking status and liaise with the Accounts Department on reservation procedures, commissions, and credit facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in hotel revenue management and reservations, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving room revenue growth through effective forecasting, pricing, and distribution strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate market data into actionable revenue strategies.
- Strong leadership and training skills to develop a high-performing reservations team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
