Assistant Boat Captain (Supply Boat)
- Assist the Boat Captain in the safe navigation and operation of the supply vessel.
- Support the loading, unloading, and proper securing of cargo to ensure safe transportation.
- Carry out routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance of the vessel, engines, and safety equipment.
- Monitor fuel, oil, water, and other operational requirements before each voyage.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate voyage logs and report any mechanical issues or incidents promptly.
- Assist in emergency procedures and ensure all safety equipment is operational and readily available.
- Coordinate effectively with the resort, Malé logistics team, suppliers, and port authorities to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the Captain in maintaining a clean, organized, and seaworthy vessel at all times.
- Valid boat captain or marine operation certification/license.
- Previous experience operating passenger boats, preferably in a luxury resort.
- Good knowledge of marine safety procedures and navigation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic spoken and written English.
