CHEF DE PARTIE
Japanese Cuisine
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie – Japanese Cuisine to join the culinary team at Soneva Secret. This role is ideal for a skilled and dedicated chef with a strong foundation in Japanese cuisine, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine passion for creating refined and memorable dining experiences.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, preferably within an ultra-luxury hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Japanese culinary techniques.
- Excellent understanding of Japanese ingredients, seasonality, sourcing, storage, and preparation.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and kitchen sanitation standards.
- Ability to maintain consistent quality, presentation, portion control, and plating standards.
- Passion for creating personalized and memorable dining experiences for discerning guests.
- Ability to adapt dishes and menus to individual guest preferences, dietary requirements, and allergies.
- Good knowledge of Japanese culinary culture and dining etiquette.
- Good understanding of wine, sake, shochu, and Japanese beverage pairings.
- Flexible, hands-on, and willing to support different culinary operations based on business and guest requirements.
- Japanese language skills would be an advantage, particularly for communication with Japanese-speaking guests.
