About Me

My name is Lavanya Ranasinghe, and I currently work as an Accountant at a BPO company. I am a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional with a solid academic foundation and practical experience in bookkeeping, financial reconciliation, and compliance support. I am currently pursuing my MSc in Accounting and Finance at the University of Peradeniya, and I hold a BBA (Special Honours) degree from SLIIT with Second Class Upper Division honors.

Professionally, I have worked as an Assistant Accountant for an Australian accountancy firm, gaining hands-on experience in daily bookkeeping, invoice management, and financial reporting using QuickBooks and Xero. I’m a certified Xero Advisor and QuickBooks Online Certified user.

I pride myself on strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Excel, and the ability to manage time effectively while working independently or collaboratively. My work has consistently supported accurate financial tracking and compliance, contributing to operational efficiency.
