Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Directing and managing the Product Development Centre operations efficiently, ensuring the objectives of the organization are achieved in terms of profitability, revenue, cost and quality
- Analyzing sketches and samples, understanding customer requirements and guiding the team to develop samples accordingly, ensuring the viability of bulk production
- Regularly reviewing the web PDM, updating the system when required, coordinating with customers and factories, clarifying and resolving all technical issues related to development and production in a timely manner
- Coordinating and providing technical advice to customers, production and merchandising teams
- Capability to identify product risks and deal with manufacturing sites
Person Specifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or a Diploma in Fashion Designing/Textile & Clothing/Garment Technology or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognized university /professional institution
- More than 03-06 years' experience in development/technical area
- Experience in lingerie (Bras, Ladies & Men’s underwear) will be added advantage
- Knowledge on outer wear products (e.g T-Shirts, Jackets, pants & work wear garments)
- Good vocal and written communication skills in English
- Good team management skills and be a team player who can work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Sound computer Knowledge
