CHEF DE PARTIE
We are looking for a passionate individual who thrives on providing exceptional service to join our team at Ishq Digana in Kandy.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership in preparing dishes to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Prepare high tea as directed.
- Ability to cater to guests outside the menu and suggest and upsell dishes.
- Have an overall knowledge of cold, hot range and bakery
- Develop and refining menus by incorporating innovative culinary techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Control food cost while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Manage food inventory, order supplies and minimizing food waste.
- Manage all kitchen staff, including training, supervision and staff scheduling.
- Work closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service, timely delivery of orders, and excellent guest experience.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity within the hospitality industry, preferably in a villa setting.
- Creativity and passion for Culinary Arts.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety and hygiene standards.
- Attention to detail to maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication and time management skills.
