VACANCY FOR THE POST OF QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Miami Exports (Pvt) Ltd is a leading children’s apparel exporter with expertise in every stitch of the garments they produce. As such, a deep understanding of the apparel industry, gained through experience and exposure, is essential to presenting a superior clothing line.

THE ABOVE VACANCY IS FOR THE GARMENT FACTORY IN PALLEKELE.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure to meet the garment quality standards as per the requirements of buyers while maintaining AQL level by providing excellent technical support for all manufacturing lines in the factory
  • Work very closely with the teams of Production, CIF and Miami Independent Quality Departments to deliver the final product to comply with the required quality standards
  • Implementing quality procedures, manuals, and standards (e.g., AQL levels) throughout the production chain, including sewing, cutting, and finishing.
  • Monitoring the entire manufacturing process, including initial raw material inspection (fabric, trims), in-process inspection (inline QC), and final inspection to minimize rework and repairs.
  • Closely monitoring the inline defects & working on CAPA’s on the major O3 defects inline daily, 10 card defects system, Daily damage repairs, DHU to achieve 99% and RFT/FPY to be 98% at finals.
  • Reviewing buyer specs, approving pre-production samples (PPS), and assisting in final random audits, acting as the liaison between the factory and the buyer for quality comments/issues.
  • Leading, managing, and training the Quality Control team and ensuring workers are aware of quality standards and techniques.
  • Identifying the root cause of defects, analyzing reports, and implementing preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of quality inspections and performance metrics for auditing and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Holder of either professional or academic qualifications in garment technology.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar capacity in a reputable apparel company with a track record of success is required.
  • A Diploma in Clothing Technology/ Quality Assurance or a degree in relevant field will be an added advantage
  • Excellent command of communication, leadership skills & computer literacy.
  • independent, self-motivated individual dedicated to work under the age of 45.
  • Ability to work under pressure delegate to archive meeting deadline.
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment makes up, pattern and Fabric.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends in, and resolve root causes of defects.
  • Ability to manage a quality team and communicate effectively with production, merchandisers, and clients.
  • Applicants who are located in the Kandy district and suburbs would be preferred.
