Cashier
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers politely and assist with their orders.
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments).
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier counter.
- Answer customer questions about menu items and prices.
- Handle customer complaints politely and report issues to the supervisor.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure correct orders.
- Follow restaurant policies and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous cashier or customer service experience (preferred)
- Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer or POS system knowledge
