WE ARE HIRING
EXPERIENCED WAITERS & WAITRESSES
IMMEDIATE VACANCIES | THE BUNGALOW, GALLE FORT
The Bungalow is one of Galle Fort's busiest and most established restaurants, welcoming a high volume of local and international guests throughout the year. We are looking for experienced, confident and well-presented restaurant service professionals who can independently manage a busy section and deliver warm, attentive service in a fast-paced environment. These are immediate vacancies. Candidates available to join immediately or with a short notice period will be given preference.
THIS IS NOT A JUNIOR OR TRAINEE POSITION
Please apply only if you already understand professional restaurant service and are confident working in a busy, high-volume restaurant.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a waiter or waitress in a busy restaurant, hotel, resort or recognised hospitality establishment
- Strong spoken English is essential
- Confident communication with local and international guests
- Capable of independently managing a restaurant section during busy service periods
- Good understanding of restaurant service and sequence of service
- Comfortable explaining menus, making recommendations and professionally upselling food and beverages
- Well-presented, well-groomed and professional at all times
- Hardworking, energetic and able to remain calm under pressure
- Reliable, disciplined and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Naturally kind, respectful and considerate towards guests and colleagues
- Ideally between 22 and 38 years of age
- Male and female candidates are welcome to apply
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable restaurants, boutique hotels, resorts or high-volume international hospitality environments.
EARNING POTENTIAL
- Strong performers can earn:
- LKR 200,000 TO LKR 250,000+ PER MONTH
- Including basic salary, service charge and tips during peak operating periods.
- Actual earnings will depend on performance, service charge and applicable incentives.
