BODYSHOP FOREMAN

Personal Profile/ Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Bodyshop Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the automotive industry.
  • Recognized Automotive Technical Qualification (NVQ Level 4 / City & Guilds or equivalent) from a reputed institute.
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, repair estimating, body alignment, panel repairs, and paint preparation procedures.
  • Ability to effectively supervise, guide, and coordinate Bodyshop technicians to achieve quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Experience with Dealership / Premium vehicle brands will be an added advantage.
  • Valid driving license.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Bodyshop operations and coordinate repair activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely vehicle completion.
  • Allocate repair jobs to technicians and monitor repair progress, productivity, and workmanship quality.
  • Ensure all repairs are carried out according to manufacturer repair guidelines, technical specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Conduct repair stage inspections and final quality checks to ensure vehicles meet required standards before delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians on repair methods and procedures.
  • Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, 5S standards, and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Monitor technician performance, identify improvement areas, special tool requirement and provide recommendations to the Bodyshop Manager.
  • Prepare and submit regular workshop reports as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Bodyshop Manager and promptly escalate any quality, safety, customer or operational concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance repair quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
