Trade Finance
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To serve as the key contact person for customers, relationship managers and staff members for enquiries and problem solving for day-to-day business
- To drive the development of Trade Operations activities and provide the functional support for these operations
- Ensure all the functions in the Trade Services Department are completed and complied with in accordance with established guidelines and policies
- Review applications for accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal and external policies and practices for Trade Products
- Review and draft suggested formats of Bank Guarantees, LCs and other documents for appropriate Terms & Conditions
- Maintain partnership-like relationship with Relationship Managers and be responsive to their service requirements
- Handle complex transactions escalated from subordinate Banking Assistants or directed from Manager or Head of Trade Services
- Ensure strict adherence to controls to minimize losses from operational risks
- Identify potential business opportunities for the department and ensure all referrals are forwarded to Manager Trade Services for follow ups
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Full/part qualification in Banking or Finance
- A Degree from a recognized university would be advantageous
- Exposure in Trade Finance
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Must be a leader, team player with a performance-driven and process-oriented mind-set
- High level of computer literacy (MS Office/Excel)
