Junior Embedded Software Engineer (Security-Focused)

Role Overview
You will work with experienced engineers on embedded software development, debugging, testing, and security-related initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to firmware development, secure communications, and embedded system architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software for microcontroller-based systems
- Assist with firmware debugging, testing, and validation
- Support implementation of secure boot, authentication, encryption, or secure communications features
- Participate in code reviews and software quality improvement activities
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams
- Prepare technical documentation and test reports
- Contribute to cybersecurity and secure development best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of embedded programming in C/C++
- Familiar with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems concepts
- Understanding of debugging tools and development environments
- Interest in cybersecurity, secure systems, or embedded security
- Familiarity with Linux based environments is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have
- Experience with RTOS
- Exposure to cryptography or secure communication protocols
- Knowledge of ARM-based architectures
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Personal or academic embedded systems projects
