VACANCY
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
We are a well-established Insurance Broking Company with over 50 years of experience in the Insurance Industry.
We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounts Team as an Accounts Assistant. The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, basic accounting knowledge, and experience working in an office environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accounting records and filing documents
- Data entry and updating accounting information
- Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Handling customer credits and maintaining accurate customer account records
- Preparing vouchers and maintaining supporting documentation
- Assisting with bank deposits and bank reconciliations
- Responding to emails and handling general office correspondence
- Assisting with other accounts and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
- G.C.E. (A/L) or equivalent qualification
- Part qualification in AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or an equivalent accounting qualification will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Department
- Experience in an Insurance Company or Insurance Broking Company will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of accounting software is desirable
