ASSISTANT MANAGER TRADING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Aberdeen Holdings is a diversified conglomerate operating across multiple industries, creating meaningful impact at scale and reaching millions of lives.

We are looking for a commercially driven professional as Assistant Manager – Trading & Business Development for one of our group companies operating in the recycling industry. The ideal candidate should bring strong experience in international trading, global sourcing, overseas sales, supplier and customer relationship management, and develop profitable business opportunities across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new opportunities across international markets.
  • Build strong relationships with overseas customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
  • Drive profitable sourcing, sales, and international trading activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, products, and potential markets.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and other commercial arrangements.
  • Coordinate with logistics, shipping, documentation, and finance teams to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare business proposals, sales forecasts, and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations and import/export procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in international trading, import/export, business development, or international sales.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, shipping documentation, trade practices, and commercial negotiations.
  • Proven ability to develop overseas markets and manage customer and supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, relationship management, and commercial skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel overseas when required.
