CLAIMS HEAD
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented professional to lead and manage our claims team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, fair and timely handling of claims while maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Claims Head will lead the claims department, oversee claim operations and ensure service excellence in line with company policies and insurer guidelines. This role plays a key part in driving efficiency, maintaining compliance and enhancing client satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS
- Insurance qualification (CII / SLII / ACII) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in claims handling in the insurance industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of general insurance products and claims procedures.
- Good understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
KEY SKILLS
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and claims management systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor and manage the claims team to achieve operational goals.
- Oversee and ensure efficient end-to-end claims handling from claim initiation to settlement.
- Ensure timely, accurate and fair claim settlements in accordance with company policy and insurer guidelines.
- Liaise with insurers, clients, surveyors and other stakeholders.
- Monitor claim reserves and ensure proper reporting and documentation.
- Identify trends, analyze performance and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
