Audit Executive
The Neil Marine Group, one of Sri Lanka's leading diversified business conglomerates with interests in marine, manufacturing, trading related industries, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Internal Audit Executive to strengthen our Group Internal Audit function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly analytical and ethical professional who is passionate about corporate governance, risk management, and continuous business improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct operational, financial, compliance, inventory, procurement, payroll, and special audits across the Group to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identify risks, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Review and assess accounting records, financial statements, inventory, project costing, procurement processes, and business operations while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, labour legislation, and company policies.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with practical recommendations, monitor the implementation of corrective actions, and drive continuous improvements in internal controls and business processes.
- Perform risk assessments and fraud investigations, recommend process enhancements, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior audit team members to promote audit best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing related professional qualification (CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA) or part qualification with relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of audit experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, or Risk Management, preferably within manufacturing, trading, logistics, or diversified business groups.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal auditing, taxation, statutory compliance, and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, communication, and leadership skills, with high integrity, professionalism, and willingness to travel across Group's business locations.
