ASSISTANT MANAGER – PRODUCTION
Global Sea Foods Pvt. Ltd is a BOI-approved sea foods processing company having two state-of-the-art factories with EU and FDA approval. We are a part of a group which has over five subsidiaries with offices across the globe and trade relationships worldwide. The company's policy is to supply the best quality products to our key customers in the EU and USA.
GSF is seeking a results-driven, highly energetic, and dynamic individual as an Assistant Manager – Production [Frozen Plant] for our Factory in Badalgama, Divulapitiya.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily frozen seafood production operations.
- Ensure production targets are achieved efficiently and on time.
- Monitor product quality, food safety, hygiene, and GMP standards.
- Supervise production teams and optimize manpower utilization.
- Coordinate with QA, HR, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
- Maintain production records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with BRC, HACCP, ISO, and customer requirements.
- Minimize production waste and improve productivity.
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Fisheries, Production Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or seafood processing.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and production planning.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage production schedules effectively.
