MANAGER – LEGAL

JOB PROFILE
The Manager – Legal will provide strategic legal counsel across the Group, supporting corporate transactions, governance, commercial operations, and regulatory compliance while managing legal risk and protecting the Group's interests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, governance, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and transactional documents.
- Support the Board and Management on corporate governance and statutory compliance.
- Conduct legal due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across business operations.
- Manage external legal counsel and regulatory relationships.
- Develop legal policies, contract templates, and governance frameworks.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- LLB or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
- 5-8 years' post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law.
- Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- An LLM, MBA, or prior in-house experience will be an added advantage.

- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and sound judgement.
- High standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
