The Company invites applications for the post of Assistant Manager – Transport & Logistics at our Head Office in Colombo.
We are looking for an ideal candidate with a strong motor mechanical background who demonstrates a solid grasp of industry standards, excellent people management skills, and a keen analytical mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Transport & Logistics in planning, directing, and managing the overall transportation facility and vehicle fleet.
- Oversee fleet maintenance and technical health, leveraging mechanical expertise to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
- Ensure transportation services meet the operational needs of the business and internal users.
- Support the achievement of optimal service delivery through efficient transport planning and coordination.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance transportation efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to cost control and technical cost-effectiveness within the transport and maintenance functions.
- Handle people management and departmental administrative responsibilities related to transport operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Transportation / Logistics Operations from a recognized Institution/ University.
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in the field of Transportation & Logistics, including experience in Automobile Engineering.
