ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE
Location - Head Office ( Narahenpita)
Are you passionate about accounting and looking to grow your career in finance? Seascape Logistics (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our team and support our financial operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Prepare supplier payments, expense reimbursements, and other payments.
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, goods received notes, approvals, and other supporting documents before preparing payments.
- Prepare payment vouchers, cheques, bank-transfer instructions, and online payment schedules.
- Ensure payments are processed accurately and within agreed credit periods.
- Maintain supplier payment schedules and monitor outstanding and overdue balances.
- Maintain monthly schedules for Trade creditors and other payables, Accrued expenses, Prepayments, Staff advances and other receivables, Post-dated cheques, Withholding taxes and other statutory payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements with accounting records and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly expense analyses and other reports required by management.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and month-end closing activities.
- Follow up with relevant departments to obtain invoices, approvals, and supporting documents on time.
- Maintain proper filing of payment documents, reports, schedules, and supporting records.
- Enter accounting transactions accurately into the accounting system.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- AAT qualification or part qualification in CA/CIMA, ACCA, or a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in accounts, payment processing, or a similar finance role.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and payment controls.
- Experience using QuickBooks, ERP systems, or similar accounting software will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, reconciliations, and schedule preparation.
